LIBYA  LIBERATED ?

From what?  And now, to what and to where?

What if the invasion forces will not leave our lands? What if the U.S. forces and others stay in our beloved lands? What if their companies and embassy headquarters will continue to exist with the American flags hoisted on them? Will you be silent? Will you overlook this?

Finally “We’re Free”

(If ISIS or the EU don’t get there before!)

While Libya’s unsteady politics and deteriorating security have complicated efforts, the United States remains committed to training the country’s security forces, which of course, together with NATO, they had destroyed.

‘ U.S. , NATO Allies Build Libyan Proxy Army – At Libya’s Expense – U.S. Committed to Training Libyan Security Force’, says the U.S. Department of Defence, adding, ‘ Libya is paying for the training, which could take up to eight years.’    You see, the U.S. has already claimed and is gobbling its chunk of the cake!

And now, here we are!!

And maybe soon two other chains would be added:  ISIS and the EU!

In March 2008, Muammar al-Ghaddafi took the podium at an Arab League summit in Damascus to deliver one of his famously long-winded and rambling speeches. Halfway through, he issued a prophetic warning, berating the assembled heads of state for acquiescing to the overthrow and subsequent execution of Iraq ‘s Saddam Hussein. „A foreign power occupies an Arab country and hangs its leader while we all stand watching and laughing,” Qaddafi thundered. „Your turn is coming soon!”  The audience broke into laughter. As television cameras panned across the room, the summit’s host, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, chuckled. Qaddafi continued, undeterred: „Even you, the friends of America .  No, I will say we – we, the friends of America . America might approve of our hanging one day.”   There was more laughter.  Who is laughing now?

How prophetic!  Those laughing now are the destroyers of that country, though it seems that they won’t be those who laugh last.

With the summary killing of Col. Ghaddafi, at least two things were robbed of the Libyan people.  One was the repudiation of the justice of giving the man the rightful chance to defend himself against all allegations.  And secondly, if found guilty, assuring that he gets a proper penalty for his doings after, of course, assuring oneself of a proper assessment of a truthful and complete balance of his (not what others did on his supposed behalf)  administrative legislations and achievements for his country.  I am sure that every Libyan, who is honest, sincere and loves his country, would undoubtedly have wanted this.  But this has all been denied of the Libyan people!

After all, isn’t this what the boastful and hypocrite ECHR constantly preaches, while falsely and conveniently looking the other way when its undesirables are murdered.

Most probably, you think you know why the United States and the Western countries invaded and attacked Libya and Ghaddafi. Or perhaps you even believe the falsity that it was the Libyan population that turned against the Ghaddafi regime.  Or perhaps it was the oil!  Anyhow, that is what we were fed. That isn’t the truth!  News coverage by the Western media has been oversimplified and misleading.

U.S./NATO had already destroyed most of the community infrastructure of Iraq and Afghanistan before turning their sights on Libya . So what’s really going on here and who are they kidding?

Western powers stirred up and supported the rebellion against Gaddafi through NATO and the UN.  They wanted to get rid of Gaddafi and have him removed from power.

Perhaps Ghaddafi was far from perfect (who is?) but, certainly, he had a vision of greatness for Libya and Africa .  Although the basic reason was simple, his plans would have glaringly exposed the vulnerability of the Western powers. Gaddafi confronted their power. He confronted the status quo of ‘Empires’. He demanded greater power for African countries, as well as greater power for smaller countries in the United Nations. He proposed and insisted on a new way forward that reduced the powers of any one or a few countries to dominate the world.  It was such a pitiful and stupid stance that the smaller countries, including my country Malta , were found lacking and never intelligent or brave enough to realize what a blessing in disguise that would have meant to their people and failed to offer their support, for their benefit after all.

That’s what it was all about.. The Libyan people had the highest standard of living of any nation in Africa (I know, I was there), but Ghaddafi stopped accepting Federal Reserve notes and Euros for his oil and asked to be paid in gold. He also tried to withdraw his gold from the London and New York vaults. That was no way the Rothschilds, or any other Western capitalist country would allow to happen.

He was also going to back the Dinar with gold and had agreements with other nations in Africa to base their money on the Dinar, rather than on the Euro or the Dollar.  His only mistake was when he botched it up by talking to other leaders and thus, he let the cat out of the bag too early.  He should have just done it!  However, I believe that the biggest mistake he made was trying to become closer and friendlier with some Western politicians, by trusting treacherous characters, such as Sarkozy (ask him Ghaddafi’s support towards his election campaign and about his country’s instrumental role in  his ousting and killing), to cite one example.

How ill-informed people like, one short-sighted contributor, Anthony Manduca, must be to have termed the Ghaddafi era as “a brutal 42-year-old dictatorship”.  Libya has been devastated.  All the economic progress achieved during the 42 years of Ghaddafi’s ruling has gone down the drain and death, misery violence chaos followed……that is Libya now.                        Robert Gates, while still Secretary of Defense, said that only a person who had lost his mind would overthrow Ghaddafi.  But, my friend, you must know well enough that greed has no limits!

Ousting Ghaddafi was not a job for the U.S. only.  Hadn’t they earlier tried unsuccessfully to kill him by bombing his capital city, Tripoli ?   He was liked by his people. Did you know Libya before Ghaddafi?  But that’s another story for next time. His problems were with the international banksters, so they had their stooges take care of him. How has killing him helped the common people of any country?  The war on Libya was a battle for Africa !

Make no mistake, once Ghaddafi and the Libyan revolution had been defeated by this opportunistic conglomerate of reactionaries and racists, then progressive forces worldwide and the Pan-African project would be suffering a huge defeat and setback.

As the allied bombing of Libya began in 2011, the Obama administration rejected an offer by Muammar Ghaddafi to engage in negotiations to abdicate and even exile out of Libya, (he even pulled his forces back from several Libyan cities as a sign of good faith), according to a retired U.S. Navy officer who says he was prepared to broker the deal.

Instead, the U.S. decided to provide weapons to “rebels” consisting of Al-Qaida-related local Libyan militia and members of the Libyan Muslim Brotherhood.  That was the apex of the hypocrisy of the West.

Mustafa Abdul-Jalil, a former top official of the Gaddafi regime, had declared that those powers backing the rebels would receive an economic reward through preferential access to Libya ’s oil resources. “Our friends who support this revolution will have the best opportunity in future contracts in Libya ,” he said.  Another reason for the West to gather its ill-gotten (corpse-gotten) gains.  Most probably, their weakness would keep them in a continual state of serfdom, if not slavery, to the dominant Empires! None of the participating countries in the illegal attacks on libya ever cared about the Libyan people.  Their only concern was ‘trade’ and ‘commerce’, which in other words mean:  ‘How big is my cunch of cake going to be after the removal of Ghaddafi and the disintegration of Libya ?’  The U.S. can continue to lead effectively from behind by urging the Europeans to bear a burden commensurate with their interests.

While the world’s eyes are on the fight against ISIS in Iraq and Syria , another very real problem is now Libya , a country in chaos, to put it lightly.

We all are still waiting for the forecast as predicted by Manduca, that, “the world will definitely be a better place without Gaddafi” as well as the “good news for Malta ”!

All I know is that the Libya issue is nothing but a bad omen and the elimination of Ghaddafi is the greatest tragedy done to the West

The spirit of Ghaddafi must never die!!
